bringing people together
passionate about great food and quality service
Fresh, sustainable and full of flavour...we only let the best produce, sourced from London’s main markets and reputable suppliers, into our kitchens where we make everything from start to finish.
We are as passionate and particular about how we run our business as we are about the food we produce. From our developmental staff training to our environmental approach to packaging and delivery to ensure that we are doing the best we can for our clients, our team and the planet.
We are proud of the food we produce and service we offer and enjoy doing what we do. Our inspired and experienced cooks blossom and grow into fine creative chefs. Their hands create fresh, generous, delightful dishes that find their way into London’s top boardrooms, business meetings, and VIP events. No two days are the same and we make sure we thank our staff for the long hours, dedication and commitment - which means the quality, consistency and presentation always shines through for our customers.
We hold the Soil Association's 'Food for Living' Bronze Award for Catering - the Soil Association provide independent endorsement that caterers are taking steps to improve their food standards on nutrition, freshness, sustainability, and animal welfare.
Meet the Alistair-Hugo Team
Alistair Shaw - Founder & Operations Manager
Alistair travelled extensively across five continents living, absorbing and enjoying the landscapes, food and cultures of the world. This life-style led to working in the many multi faceted elements of the catering and event industry where he gained a broad experience of the sector.
Before Alistair-Hugo he worked for Mustard Catering, who’s corporate and private clients are from the most exclusive market share in London. He joined the operations department, organising and setting up events in both public and private venues around London and the UK. Years of self reliance and an enjoyment of catering and events inspired him to want to set up his own business.
Hugo Mauthner - Founder & Head Chef
Hugo’s interest in food developed into a passion to be a chef after growing up in various countries around the world, from the tropics of South America to the culinary home of cooking in Europe. His first baptism of fire in a commercial kitchen was whilst living and working in Japan.
After graduating from Westminster College, Hugo perfected his trade at renowned restaurants here in London. Before Alistair-Hugo he was head chef for Tom Conran restaurants for four years. He was a key player in the development and success of Tom’s Deli in Westbourne Grove.
